Let it snow!!

We woke this morning to a combination of rain and sleet that quickly turned over to snow. Ok, it was nothing like the near foot the Twin Cities had over the weekend, but it was spectacular. The first measurable snow at our altitude this season. By the time we got to Katelyn’s school just before 9 this morning, the ground was covered and it looked like a winter wonderland. One forgets how beautiful and quiet the snow makes everything. What was even more interesting was listening to the international teachers and children that had never seen snow. Katelyn’s teacher is from Australia and had never seen or played with snow in person before this morning. What we take for granted and so common (being from the midwest and all), some have never seen.  Sometimes there just aren’t words to describe it.
