Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Cal!

On Christmas day we awoke to prepare.
Not even enough time to comb our hair.

The upstairs and downstairs were cleaned with care.
The tables were set after washing the fine silverware.

The guests arrived and festivities began –

Grandpa and Linda, Jerry and Tom,
Chris, Susie, Andrew, Katie and Michael then came along.

As presents were opened people donned them for show.
Grandpa Rieser honored the Brewers while
Zach wore red and white.
Then, Kim frumped it up with merry delight.

Susie wore Grandpa’s hat just for a while, and
Katelyn’s plastic bonnet forecasted futuristic style.

The slow-cooked pork melted as we chewed.
There was cranberry crunch, potatoes and corn,
Pineapple ham, with horseradish and bread.
Cal was all smiles with Bonnie’s cheesecake ahead.

Then, toward the end of the evening, the snow briskly fell,
So Zach shoveled folks out and we bid our farewell.
