ISZL Grade 5 Assembly: Life Cycle

Today, Grade 5GA presented our assembly to grades 1-5 and their Kindergarten buddies and parents. The assembly was based off a recent Unit of Inquiry called  the Life Cycle. We presented the cycle of life from baby to elderly and what changes the body goes through at each stage of life. We used skits, song and dance as well as explaining each stage. I participated in a group of 4 children for the teenage years: Gil, Sophie (blond wig), Cecilia (blond hair), and I have on blue wig. We decided to create a skit about peer pressure during the teenage years. I tried to convince my friends to smoke with me at a concert. Our audience question was answered with two different answers. Listen for what the students tell Gil. In the end, I stopped smoking and my friends became my friends again. The lesson we wanted to teach the children today was “don’t give in to peer pressure.”
