Road Trip to Brienz

I was feeling rather stir crazy so I asked myself, “It’s such a beautiful day outside – especially after all the rain we’ve had. Didger is taken care of, and I have some time, so what to do … what to do? What can I do that will allow me to get into the middle of all that nature God so lovingly created?”

I fired up Google Maps and looked toward the Interlaken region (one of the most beautiful places on Earth – that I’ve seen so far). A town called Brienz caught my eye, and off I went.

You know how some people say something like, “It’s the journey, not the destination?” Well, in the instance of a road trip, I agree. I left at 1PM and was home by 7:30PM. I enjoyed every minute in between – from the quiet lake towns with lush fields full of crickets, to the chalets, laughing families and lake breezes of Brienz.

As I don’t have our best camera, I made do with my iPad2, Blackberry and HD video camera to document the adventure.

Oh, and I made a little stop along the way to look for a birthday gift for Kim … but info on that will have to wait until mid-September 😉

Aaron, should we be driving and filming at the same time? The video is beautiful though.

Well, no. I just couldn’t resist. Now, would I attempt that if I were Kim driving in Italy? Absolutely not. Good thing she has me By her side to film 🙂

    BEAUTIFUL!!!

What a way to praise the Lord! The baby started kicking while I watched the video and marveled at the pictures! I’ve been able to feel movements for a few weeks now and it’s so fun! 🙂 I wonder if it can tell when my heart is in awe of God’s creation?

You’ve done a great job of videography and photography for not having your “best” equipment at hand! 🙂 Bravo you and BRAVO, GOD!!! 😀 Encore, encore!
