Herr Meyer and Zach Play Duet

Herr Meyer, the landlord of Zach’s ISZL personal project mentor, welcomed Zach to Zürich for an interview and to play a duet. Upon arrival, Herr Meyer ushered us to the lower level of the apartment complex where his Alphorn was waiting. Zach set up the Cooper Alphorn, then interviewed Herr Meyer briefly. We all learned about why he plays alphorn and a little about his history as a musician.

After chatting for a bit, they played several duets together, Zach played a solo and then Herr Meyer invited all of us into his practice studio to hear him play his German flugelhorn and listen to some of his preferred classical music. He plays in a band and will be performing this November at the Fraumünster in Zürich, so we’re planning to come see him perform.

An enjoyable evening with the sounds of the Alphorn resounding off inner walls.

    Very nice Zach!!!!!!!
I wasn’t sure what kind of a sound I was going to hear out of that longggggggg instrument.
What wonderful opportunities you have had while in Switzerland.
I hope you are writing a journal so that you will be always able to remember the memories.
    God bless you always Zach.
We love you and are very proud of you.
