Colmar Christmas Market

Our friend, Beth Baker, recommended the Colmar Christmas market. So, using our last opportunity to visit such a market while in Switzerland, we took a series of trains – to Zürich, Basel, then Colmar. It was a relaxing day, with warm crepes and santas ice skating in the park upon arrival. Then, some Christmas shopping and strolls through the picturesque streets of this old town, enjoying its Renaissance architecture. We hadn’t done much research before going. Aaron and Zach were surprised to stumble upon the home of the sculptor who gave birth to the Statue of Liberty, Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi. Kim and Katelyn split off to shop and enjoy time together.

A long, but enjoyable day.
