Flowered Lawns

A quick post to share some Spring flowers that have begun to pop up all over town. The thing is, they appear in people’s lawns, along with other flower types. They don’t seem to be planted in a particular way – they just grow where they grow. Cool!

This really adds to the beauty of the spring transition and makes me imagine how the many lawns in the U.S. would look if people were generally less concerned about having perfectly manicured lawns free of growth other than perfect green grass.

I definitely looked forward to this as winter came to a close.

These are Primroses, or Primula. Beautiful, eh? I have never thought of them as weeds before – rather just spring flowers. I mean, people plant them in pots & such. We have daffodils and violets in our yard now. So pretty.

It sure is beautiful. I’d like to see this in the U.S. Perhaps our family will be one of the first to go for it!
