Höllgrotten Baar Caves with Cal & Bonnie

The caves have been there, forming, for many, many, many years. We’ve lived in Zug for a very short time, relatively speaking. We figured it was about time we went to the Höllgrotten caves in Baar next door.

These are by no means the largest caves we’ve seen. We toured Wind Cave in the United States and a few others. The price was a little steep, as was the path leading up to the entrance (that’s right – up to the entrance, then down through the caves). However, it was a fun afternoon, offering some light exercise.

The formations inside, including the underground ponds and lines from the underground lake that used to exist, were well-lit and pretty striking.
