Ahh….long weekend ahead…

The kids have completed 4 days of school. We are all slowly recovering from jet lag and settling in. Time to resume a family tradition of heading to my parents cabin in central Wisconsin for the long Labor Day weekend.

Just a bit of history for everyone. Labor Day became a federal holiday in the United States in 1894, which is a day to celebrate ” the economic and social contributions of workers.” This holiday was modeled after the annual labor festival in Canada.
